Fish Hatchery 5K
Located at the historic Leadville National Fish Hatchery, the Fish Hatchery 5K features a scenic cross country style course that winds through subalpine forest near and around the Evergreen Lakes and lower Rock Creek area. The route consists of dirt road, path and trail.

716 Harrison Avenue in Leadville

Race-day registration: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. in front of main hatchery building .

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 12 and under age group. Stick around for the post-race raffle. 


Cost
$15. Individuals 18 and under participate for free.

Directions
Follow Hwy 24 south of Leadville for 4 miles.

Turn right (west) on Hwy 300. Hwy 300 takes you directly to the Hatchery (two miles).

Host
Operated by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Leadville National Fish Hatchery was established in 1889 and is the second oldest Federal hatchery in operation.

Proceeds
Proceeds from the Turquoise Lake Half Marathon and the Fish Hatchery 5K benefit the Leadville-Lake County Sports Hall of Fame.
