Located at the historic Leadville National Fish Hatchery, the Fish Hatchery 5K features a scenic cross country style course that winds through subalpine forest near and around the Evergreen Lakes and lower Rock Creek area. The route consists of dirt road, path and trail.

Adults: $25

Youth (individuals 17 and under): FREE

Race-day registration: 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. in front of main hatchery building.

AWARDS


Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 12 and under age group. Stick around for the post-race raffle.

Operated by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Leadville National Fish Hatchery was established in 1889 and is the second oldest Federal hatchery in operation.

Proceeds from the Turquoise Lake 20K and the Fish Hatchery 5K benefit the Leadville-Lake County Sports Hall of Fame.

DIRECTIONS

Follow Hwy 24 south of Leadville for 4 miles.

Turn right (west) on Hwy 300. Hwy 300 takes you directly to the Hatchery (two miles).
