The final 5.5 miles consist of single track dirt trail. Proceeds benefit youth athletics and recreation (Children’s Fishing Day, Leadville Nordic, etc). This event utilizes National Forest lands and County Roads. A special use permit has been issued by the US Forest Service’s Leadville Ranger District and permission has been granted by the Lake County Commissioners.

DIRECTIONS

From Harrison Ave., take 6th Street west until you get to a T (approx. 1 mile).

Turn right on to County Road 4. Follow County Road 4 until you reach a three-prong fork located adjacent to Suger Loafin’ Campground/RV Park (approx. 2.5 miles).

Take the far right road, which is the continuation of County Road 4, to Turquoise Lake.

Take the first road to the right (as if you were going to drive counter clockwise around Turquoise Lake), and follow the signs to the Matchless Boat Ramp.
